Paid plans add metered usage to the monthly fee. Rates are proposals until launch, and no meter bills until its rate is published here.

Billing questions
Short answers on what is metered, what is free and what each plan includes.
What counts as a grounded answer?
One response from POST /v1/knowledge/ask with status grounded, where every claim that remains cites a passage from the knowledge version you queried. It is billed once, however many citations it carries.
Are abstentions billed?
Not as answers. A response with status abstained never counts toward the grounded answers meter, whatever its reason: clinical_decision, insufficient_evidence or patient_data.
What happens when I reach a sandbox limit?
Requests return 429 RATE_LIMITED with a Retry-After header until the window resets. The sandbox never charges and never asks for a card.
Can I pin a knowledge version?
Yes, on every paid plan. Send knowledge_version with a request and the response comes from that immutable snapshot, so answers and citations stay reproducible across releases.
How do enterprise source entitlements work?
Premium licensed sources are added per contract, on the terms each publisher allows. Their passages are served only to entitled keys, and each one still carries its source, version and license.
