How software can find, cite and stay within dermatology knowledge: terminology, evidence, abstention and the agents that use them.

## [Introducing DermLiving: dermatology knowledge for software](https://dermliving.com/blog/introducing-dermliving)

Launch · October 12, 2026 · 4 min read · [markdown](https://dermliving.com/blog/introducing-dermliving.md)

A dermatology knowledge API for humans and agents, live today as a keyless sandbox on synthetic data. What it does, what it refuses to do, and how to try it in one request.

## [Cite or abstain: how DermLiving answers a dermatology question](https://dermliving.com/blog/cite-or-abstain)

Grounding · October 12, 2026 · 5 min read · [markdown](https://dermliving.com/blog/cite-or-abstain.md)

Every claim in a DermLiving answer cites a versioned passage, and a claim without one is removed. When the evidence is missing or the question asks for a decision, the API abstains.

## [What does eczema mean? Mapping words to ICD-10-CM and ICD-11](https://dermliving.com/blog/mapping-eczema-to-icd-10-cm-and-icd-11)

Terminology · October 12, 2026 · 4 min read · [markdown](https://dermliving.com/blog/mapping-eczema-to-icd-10-cm-and-icd-11.md)

People type lay terms, abbreviations and codes. Software needs one concept and its codes. Why ambiguous input should be flagged instead of guessed, and how the mapping route reports it.

## [Giving AI agents dermatology tools over MCP](https://dermliving.com/blog/dermatology-tools-for-ai-agents)

Agents · October 12, 2026 · 4 min read · [markdown](https://dermliving.com/blog/dermatology-tools-for-ai-agents.md)

Five read-only tools, scoped like the REST API and served from one remote MCP endpoint. How an agent finds them, calls them and gets cited answers back.
